In this Thermal Power plant sea water is used for the Cooling purpose. Hence the site is constructing a water canal of 1.2 km long and 12m width for the entry of sea water into the plant, and after the heat transfer process the hot sea water will be discharged to the sea through another canal. In order to construct this water canal the site is driving U-type sheet piles to a depth of 10m.
